Access to work placements is an essential element of quality training and students achieving quality VET outcomes.

Work placement helps put into practice the skills students have learned in their training and experience what it’s like to work in their chosen industry, get real work-based expertise and meet experienced people who work in the field.

The Work Placement Register provides secondary students undertaking nationally recognised training with the opportunity to apply their skills in real work contexts across a broad range of areas of the Western Australian Government agencies.

This initiative helps students to explore work, identify career pathways and achieve positive education outcomes.
